Rant of the state of today's music
Ok, I'm watching VH1, Awesomely Bad #1 Songs Ever or something. Yes, there are plenty of bad songs on here. What bugs me though is that the past 10 years are totally ignored. No one will ever be able to convince me that we are in a decent period for popular music. I think 99.9% of all songs that come out now are going to be considered crap in 10 years. They'll have to make lists of the Awesomely Bad Songs of March 2003. Just think of all the lists E! and VH1 could make! Does anyone think that Usher or the Simpson girls or JoJo will be relevent (or even remembered) in 2015? There are some decent songs that come out there, and I know that music is a touchy subject to everyone. I'm just wishing that Nelly, Beyonce, Fountains of Wayne, or any of the other not so great groups and singers made the list.
