Here I go again on my own

I was on the bus in 8th grade on a normal day when we stopped at a new house. Two people I'd never seen before got on, a girl and a boy. They sat in the front row together, about four in front of me. The boy was the best looking person I'd ever seen in my life. I stared at him for the entire ride to school and hoped for the rest of the year that he'd appear again. At the end of the year he came with the high school band to talk to the 8th graders about joining the next year. I'd quit the band at the end of 7th grade so I didn't get to hear this talk. However, I found out through friends the name of this boy. It was Uriah Duffy, older brother of Yes who was in my class (and later ended up on Road Rules). And he was a graduating senior. I was so upset that I wouldn't be able to see him the next year and mini-stalk him in the hallways.

Today, Peter found out what Uriah has been up to. He's joined the band Whitesnake. I didn't even know they still existed. I wonder if they'll have a new video out with a girl posing on a car hood. Hopefully it'll be a different model since the old one is probably 45 now. Or better yet, maybe it'll be Uriah on the car. A girl can hope. In reality though, it'd be nice to watch him from afar. He's supposed to be a great bass player, and he's still nice to look at.
