It's funny how much I suddenly care about children's programming. I never thought I'd be this person, but now I make sure to fast forward during the commercials at the beginning of Sesame St, I make fun of Bob the Builder, and I prefer Joe to Steve on Blue's Clues because he has such a better singing voice (and let's be honest, Joe is a much better dancer and is cuter too, I could watch him all day. Well, for a couple of hours maybe.). My biggest issue is with Big Bird though. Yes, the infamous Big Bird that the whole world loves. Except me. Have you ever listened to him? He's an overgrown baby. He has the IQ of a tree ant and he whines constantly. I wanna be big again. I want adults to be children so I can play with them. Waaah waaah waaah. I just can't take it. I'd prefer a thousand Elmo's speaking only in the third person over him. Why Snuffleupagus is friends with him I'll never know. Andy and I would be much better friends, we're way more fun.
I must say it's sort of weird that Andy watches the same show that I watched growing up. I mean, I know they are different shows as the ones I watched are now "For Adults Only" but there are the same characters. Of course, I remember Kermit being a crossover on both Sesame St and The Muppets. I haven't seen him this season. Maybe they canned him? Ate his legs?
For my 11th anniversary with Peter I knit and watched Ugly Betty while he played on the computer. I think we are an old married couple. When did I suddenly turn 40?

I'm pretty sure Big Bird is supposed to be the character that confused little kids relate to. I haven't seen the show in forever but I think that's why he doesn't know anything and always screws up and learns lessons.
