We have been very lucky to have some nice friends who've babysit the past few weekends so we could go out on actual dates (thank you again Danielle and Christina!!!!!), but as we've never been ones to eat out at 8pm on a Saturday night, we feel very limited in where we go as every place is full of people at that time. So if anyone knows of a good restaurant that sort of has parking, isn't in the city, hopefully isn't super expensive, isn't super busy or else takes reservations, and has good vegetarian food, please let us know (if there is even anything left in the greater Boston area after all that). I don't want to get stuck eating at Za and Not Your Average Joes every weekend. Although our next babysitter is my mom who will be doing it on a Wednesday night, so we have a bit more flexibility. Please send suggestions our way!

Have you tried Grasshopper? It's vegetarian Chinese (might even be vegan) and is both super cheap and super tasty. Not at all fancy, so not sure if you want to go there for date night. I like it a bunch, but never get over there, since it's not convenient to Cambridge if you don't have a car. I think all the parking is street parking, but I don't remember ever having a problem.

i tried to post this yesterday, but somehow it never went through.
my mom ate at this place, something savory, in arlington last week and said it was good. they don't have a website, but you could call and ask about vegetarian options...
