I'd like to Rrrreturrrrrn these skinny jeans please

OMG today is Talk Like a Pirate Day and somehow I've gone through half the day not realizing it. And because Andy had his first temperature last night (102 people, it was INTENSE!), I'm not leaving the house. So I have only Andy to speak like a pirate to. Of course, this is probably a good thing in reality, but I live in happy Lauraland, so I am rather upset. Those Old Navy jeans I was going to return (why oh why did I buy skinny jeans???), now I can't speak to the employee like a pirate. Darnit. And I was going to go walking with Cynthia, I'm sure she would have loved me speaking about her booty...arrrr I mean son Jack.

Actually, senior year in one of my English/Linguistic classes, I learned that half of the experts on Renaissance English actually think that they spoke their R's like pirates. Imagine Shakespeare like a pirate "A Rrrrose by any otherrrr name would smell as sweet." Is that even the correct quote? It's been a while, school is overrated for those of us who dropped out of it.

So to celebrate I'm going to drink, wish I was going to see the Pirates of the Caribbean movie as I'm the last human on earth left to see it, and maybe go to King Richard's Faire this weekend. I'm sure I can buy a pirate outfit for Peter, a big dress with a corset for me, and plenty of meat on the bone to please all the pirates in the world.

You wouldn't be the last person on earth. John and just saw it Saturday night! I kid you not. It wasn't as good as the first one but I still liked it....

I hope you go to the King Richard's Faire... maybe you and Peter will run into your "twins" again! (Wouldn't it be funny if they ended up having a child too?)
